2 [VIDEO/ACTION FOR GOLDENROD CITY]
[ACTION]
[Having grown tired of the stifling atmosphere of the Rocket Base, Emmy has decided that today, she'll train her Pokemon in one of Goldenrod's parks. She's not quite silly enough to do anything too serious in the middle of the city (something tells her that practicing moves like Flamethrower in such an area might be frowned upon), but that doesn't bother her too much. The training she wants to do is fairly simple, anyway.]
Keep your guard up, Lulu!
[And by training, she means...well, sparring rather aggressively with her Lucario. Her Pokemon can't have all the fun, after all!]
That's it!
[It's been a long time since Emmy has had such a good training partner, and she's taking full advantage of it. The pair punch and kick with gusto, blocking each other's moves and responding with faster ones, with Emmy occasionally shouting the odd instruction or word of encouragement. While Emmy has strong technical knowledge, Lulu has pure PokePower on her side; as an opponent, she's formidable. They begin to move faster and faster, completely oblivious to their surroundings, until Lulu happens to let her guard down at just the wrong moment-]
Gotcha!
[It's a move she's done many times before; launching herself into the air, Emmy twists and nails Lulu in the forehead with a powerful back kick, sending her tumbling onto the grass. It's rather clear that she's uninjured, however; talented as her trainer is, she's nowhere near strong enough to do any real damage. Rolling up onto her knees, Lulu pats down the fur on her forehead, waiting for instructions from her-
...ah.]
Lulu...
[Huffing, Emmy places her hands on her hips and pouts down at her Lucario, who is looking...rather guilty, like a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar. She thought she was being sneaky...
...]
What have I told you about going easy on me?
[Looks like they might need to take a break...]

[The feed opens to the sight of Emmy and Lulu sitting under a tree, apparently taking a well-deserved break from all their sparring. Taking a sip from a water bottle, Emmy contemplates the camera.]
Hello! I have a question for anyone out there listening, today! How do you train your Pokemon? I'd especially like responses involving Fighting-types! I prefer to be out there on the field with my Pokemon, but they tend to get a bit nervous when I do that! Don't you think that's far more rewarding, though? I get so antsy just standing around!
[Leaning back against the trunk of the tree, Emmy folds her arms behind her head and looks up at the leaves, still thinking.]
Although I suppose I can understand their fears...we humans are so fragile in comparison to them. I just wish I could keep up!
[Hmmm...
...ah! Right, the camera is still on!]
Ah, sorry about that! It just reminded me of a puzzle, you see. Do give me a call if you'd like to chat about training, anyway!

That's the strange thing about Soulcutter though- he's perfectly fine with battling, but he's very old fashioned about it. He's never allowed me to personally wield him. I've tried compromising by not directly wielding him, but he's still hesitant.
[He's really not too shy about admitting he's made the attempt. Basically anyone who owns a Honedge has, right?
He watches Lulu do her training for a moment, contemplating Emmy's offer. If she spars with her Pokemon directly, he'd definitely like to get in on that. That's just his kind of creative.
He sighs and shrugs, apparently still caught up in his previous thoughts about Soulcutter's hesitation.]
Oh well, he'll relent eventually I'm sure. Either way, I would be honored to train with you, Emmy. [Ah, the informalities have returned. He smiles and gives a little bow.] Though I do hope you'll go easy on me if you choose to spar with me.
[action]
...however-]
Ooh, do you like fighting with your fists as well as swords, Dr Rideaux?
[...that earns you a lot of points...all classy gentleman clearly need to know how to fence, after all! Although she had a bit of trouble with the last 'classy' gentleman who could fight with both his hands and his swords...
...you seem slightly more well-adjusted than Descole, however, so hopefully things won't go downhill...]
I may be convinced to go easy on you, if you're interested in practicing a little Pokemon-free battling!
[action]
[He'll even flex his fingers for emphasis. He likes where this is going- it's nice to have an opponent who actually knows what they're doing instead of some random kid who couldn't throw a punch to save their life. Really, that's just too easy.]
As I said, I would be honored. Physical activity is important and unfortunately, commanding a Pokemon in battle doesn't really count toward maintaining that activity. One day, all of my Pokemon will understand that.
[He smiles at Emmy- he has a feeling she feels the same way.]
[action]
...how very promising! Returning that smile, Emmy bounces lightly on her feet and flexes her hands, before placing them back on her hips.]
You're certainly a man of many talents, aren't you Doctor? At least I won't have to worry if I get hurt fighting you!
[Not that she intends to!]
Besides, I'm sure that if you show your Pokemon how much passion can be involved in fighting, they'll come around! They might even end up like Lulu!
[...who is...still doing push-ups, over there...]
You can come and see me whenever you're feeling up to sparring - unless you're happy to try it now?
[She's assuming you'd...probably want to change out of that fancy suit first...]
[action]
Laughing softly, he lets his arms rest at his side.]
Oh, you flatter me. But let's just say the combat experience was necessary for my position back home, despite my primary workplace being a clinic.
[He really doesn't make anything clearer the more he reveals about himself, but that's how he likes it.]
I think that would be for the best. They've only seen me when I'm sparring with them, so they may react to a human fighting another human differently. It seems many Pokemon don't expect us to fight at all.
[But there's no fun in that.
He crosses his arms contemplatively, considering Emmy's offer.]
I'm not opposed to having a go at it now. Sparring in this weather might do me some good.
[Of course he's going to fight in the fancy suit. He has to be elegant when fighting too, you know.]
[action]
...although she's not surprised that he's opting to stay in the fancy suit; most gentlemen she knows seem to prefer it, really...maybe it makes them better at fighting?
...perhaps she should invest in one...]
I like the sound of that. Physical activity is the best way to stay warm in the cold, after all!
[If you're not wearing a Fancy Battle suit, anyway. Bouncing on her toes for a moment, Emmy streches her arms behind her head. Best to keep limber; Rideaux may look like a bit of a dandy, but she's learned not to judge a book by its cover when it comes to this sort of thing.]
Just let me know when you're ready.
[action]
With a nod, Rideaux reaches into his coat pocket and produces a Pokeball. The Pokemon he releases out of it is of course, his Doublade. One of the blades practically comes out swinging, but the other reins it in before it can actually do any damage. While Rideaux doesn't look amused, it's pretty obvious that he expects that these days. He sends Obsidian over to the Doublade and gives both the Pokemon a stern stare.]
I want you all to watch this. And you had better behave while I'm busy, or else I won't be very pleased.
[Judging from the Pokemons' eerie silence to that, they must really not want to get on their trainer's bad side.
Following that, Rideaux similarly stretches and cracks his knuckles before assuming a fighting stance. He's even keeping his hair down for this, hell yeah.
With a smirk,]
Ladies first.
[action]
...
They're probably going to be here a while, but she can't say she has a problem with that.]
